89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 18th, 2025 after an arduous battle with dementia. A longtime resident of Pilsen, Chicago ; Beloved wife of Leonel Vargas, and loving mother of Maria, Jose, Jesus, Rosa, Alicia, and Gabriel. Adelaida leaves behind 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Adelaida will be held at Michael Coletta and Sons Funeral Home (544 W 31st St., Chicago, Illinois, 60616) on Monday, December 22nd, 2025 from 3pm to 8pm. Funeral mass to be held at noon, on Tuesday, December 23rd at St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church (1641 S. Allport St, Chicago, Illinois, 60608)
