Angeline "Dolly" (Serritella) Kozelka

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Angeline “Dolly” Kozelka (neè Serritella), a woman who touched the lives of so many with her kindness, warmth, and incredible wit.  Dolly passed peacefully on April 7, 2025 at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on August 31, 1930, to the late Antonia (nee Marzano) and Antonio Serritella. Dolly was a proud resident of the Hollywood section of Brookfield where she was known for being a walker and a talker. Then, for the past 9 years she resided in Indian Head Park where she instantly made great friends. 

She is the beloved wife of the late Richard Kozelka; devoted mother of Karen (Mario) Licitra and Mary Ann (Joseph) Nardi; cherished grandmother of Michael (Lisa) Passi, Danielle (John Paul) Pascente, Carrie (Leonard) Laino, Jonathan (Lauren) Licitra, Joseph Nardi Jr., and Briana (Robert) Alianello; loving  great grandmother of Nickolas & Mia Passi, Arianna, Lucia & Anthony Pascente, Siena, Luca & Nico Licitra, and soon to be Baby Alianello.

Dolly had a passion for fashion, skin care, and her big cream sunglasses. She adored the color yellow, playing wordle, texting, celebrity gossip, and gifting everyone $2 bills! She enjoyed watching wheel of fortune, sending out hallmark cards with her extra special touch, and she always dreamed of visiting the great city of New York. It was hard to keep her men straight as she had a love for Frank Sinatra, Tom Brady and even Brad Pitt and she would only talk about them on a first name basis! If she wasn’t begging you to help her pray to Saint Anthony, you could count on her playing the lotto, crossing her fingers with a quarter in her hand while scratching away on scratch offs, or glued to the seat at the 777 slots. 

Dolly will be remembered for her strength, determination, and strong will. Dolly is at peace and will finally re-unite with her family in heaven. Although she isn’t physically here any longer, she is still with us everyday, looking down, smiling, and praying the rosary for everyone she’s ever loved.”

Visitation will be held on Monday April 21st from 9:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. at Holy Guardian Angel Parish (Formally known as St. Barbara Parish) 4008 Prairie Ave.(Brookfield) with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
