With our deepest regrets, we announce the passing of Bertha, a tenacious, resilient, kind and giving woman who battled diabetes for decades and succumb to a cardiorespiratory arrest on 11/16.
Beloved mother, caring sister, cherished aunt, adored Godmother and great friend to all was simple and happy woman. She spent her entire career at CPS as a headstart teacher for over 15 years and retired as an Administrator. Bertha devoted her time to developing children into young students onto their endeavors of education and constantly making a positive impact on them and their families. As a passionate foodie, she loved tasting old and new cuisine and enjoyed every meal she ate. Having been a constant world traveler, she lived for the adventure of experiencing other cities and countries for their history, culture, people, music and food. She lived well. Her memory will live externally in the hearts of her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Bertha on 12/6 at St. Procopius Catholic Church 1641 S. Allport St. doors open at 10:30 A.M. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Interment Private.
