Cesar A Chavez

A resident of the Pilsen community, he lived the entirety of his life on 19th and Morgan Street. Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the young age of 30 years old. All who knew him appreciated his love for everyone, his witty personality and selflessness when it came to helping others.  Always being the jokester, the breath of fresh air and the giver of a loving hug and kiss on the cheek was expected while in Cesar’s company. He loved without reserve and gave all of himself without hesitation.  Cesar will be dearly missed by so many. Adored son of Cesar and Hilda; cherished brother of Abel and Ruben; beloved father of Cesar and Victoria; partner of Stephanie. Dearest grandson of the late Abel, the late Maria Elena Chavez, the late Francisco, the late Elia Diaz, the late uncle Ruben Diaz, the late Abel “Chops” Chavez, and the late cousin Omar Chavez. Visitation will be held on Thursday; May 4th from 3:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home 544 West 31st Street., Chicago. Chapel prayers at the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 A.M. followed by procession to St. Procopius Church for Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M.. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
