Heather Ann Aleck, nee Byczek, age 47, lifelong resident of Chicago, passed away August 31, 2024. Beloved wife of John; cherished mother Haley Nicole and Peyton Rose; loving daughter of Dennis and Cindy Byczek and daughter in law of Charles and the late Phyllis Walters; dearest sister of Irene “Renie” and Candace Byczek and Tiffany (Carl) Mortensen and sister-in-law of Robert (Meredith) Estrada and Frankie (Erica) Bedia; treasured aunt of Bobby, Ava, Anna, Valerie, Noah, Mia, Anthony and Angel; fond cousin and friend to many.
Heather was immensely proud of her family, with her proudest accomplishment being her two daughters. Known as a devoted wife and mother, Heather's warm and caring spirit touched all who knew her. She worked at Allen Brothers for more than 20 years and was a graduate of St. Barbara High School.
A passionate volunteer and active member of the Bridgeport Catholic Academy community, Heather was deeply involved in her daughters' education, celebrating their graduation milestones with great joy. She was a lover of country music, adored polar bears (even adopting one at Brookfield Zoo), and her favorite color was purple.
In her leisure time, you could often find Heather at a White Sox game, as she rarely missed one before her illness. She also loved attending many concerts, sharing these experiences with her daughters. Heather was a devoted fur mama to her pets Maggie and Bailey, as well as the late Rocky.
