Howard Douglas Odum Jr., 72, of Darien, formerly of Chicago, passed away June 9, 2020.  Beloved husband of Frances, nee Ursetta; loving father of Lisa (Noel) Waitkus and Jennifer Odum; cherished grandfather of Donald  (Shefali) Fritz, Tyler, Frank III and Jack Waitkus; devoted son of the late Howard Odum Sr. and Lois, nee Murphy; dear brother of James Odum and brother in law of Rosa (Dominick) Scumaci, Teresa (the late Frank) Canino, Marisa (Joseph) DeVito, Carmella (Thomas) Balich, Rita (Peter) Marnell and Carmine (Marie) Ursetta; fond uncle of many.

Proud veteran of Vietnam War serving as a First Calvary in the US Army.  Doug loved to travel and was passionate about his family.  He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be profoundly missed and never forgotten. 

Visitation Saturday, June 13th, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church, 2823 S. Princeton, Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial Private.  Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
