Proud WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy, served in the Pacific Theater on the US Springfield and US Pasadena. Jake and Babe were originally from the Bridgeport neighborhood and were married at St. Mary Incornata Church.. Beloved husband of 75 years to Elvira “Babe” (nee DeNardo); loving father of Bill (Erika), the late Joey, Joann (Ed) Mazalin, and Frank (Christine) Diliberto; beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary Diliberto; dear brother of the late Charles Diliberto and the late Mary (Joseph) Knight; proud Papa of Joseph (Ellen), Marcelleno (Danielle), Gino, Dino, Nicholas, Anthony, and Michael; son-in-law to the late Jenny and Frank DeNardo; brother-in-law of the late Vicky (Glenn) Middleton, Ralphie (Ann), Mikey (Sarah), Charlie (Jean), and Sammy (Carol) DeNardo; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Member of Local #73 for 70 years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday; December 26th from 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Curley Funeral Home 6116 West 111th St. Chicago Ridge., Wednesday; December 27th Chapel Service at Curley Funeral Home 10:00 A.M. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
