James William Sims

James William Sims was born in Benton, Mississippi on November 16, 1955, beloved son of the late Leola Robinson Sims and the late Allen Sims. They later moved to Chicago where James attended Wendell Phillips High School. James tremendously turned his life around and gave his life to God, that’s when he met Leda Fritzler and they were united in holy matrimony on March 3, 2017. James William Sims departed his life September 3, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memories with his beloved wife Leda, cherished father of Alonzo, Alfonzo, and Caress, (host of grandkids), (Pharoah), Ashely, and Kevin (Arika Rose); loving brother of the late Arleania, Helen, Cynthia, the late Allen, Wilbert, John Earle Carey, the late Cornell, the late Jamon, Allen, Timothy. Darryl, Tonya, and Cheryl. Favorite aunt the late Alberta Sims, with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.  Memorial service will be held on Saturday; September 16th from 12 Noon- 2:00 P.M. at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home., 544 West 31st Street., Chicago. Chapel Service 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. 

 I wish I could see you one more time,

come walking through the door...

But I know that is impossible.
I will hear your voice no more.

I know you can feel my tears

 And you don't want me to cry.

Yet my heart is broken because

I can't understand why someone 

So precious had to die.
I pray that God will give me strength 

And somehow get me through...
