Jeffrey Lee Gappa Sr.

Jeffrey Lee Gappa, Sr., age 69, of Chicago, IL, passed away on November 20th, 2024. Jeff was born in Chicago on May 23rd, 1955, to the late Leonard Henry Gappa (Mildred Murphy) and the late Jane Dalene Ross, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Henry Gappa Jr., of San Fernando Valley, CA. Jeff was a United States Marine Corps veteran and worked for over 16 years at the Wrigley Gum Company. Jeff was known for his infectious sense of humor and his love for playing jokes that brought laughter to everyone around him. His playful spirit was matched by his passion for science fiction and books. Dear partner of Elizabeth (Brett) Elkins ;loving father of Kimberly (Richard) Urban and Jeffrey Lee Gappa Jr. (Maddie Johnson); cherished grandfather of Jaxson Gappa, Maylee Gappa, Seth Urban, Cameron Urban, and Caine Urban ; cherished brother-in-law of the late William Gore, Margarie (the late Kyle) Greenwell, Beverly (the late Pedro) Frias, the late Edward Hedberg (Patricia Villalobos), and the late Peter Hedberg (Christal Tobar); fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation will be held on December 13, 2024, at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home 544 West 31st St (Chicago) from 8:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
