John L McHugh

John L. McHugh, 56, lifelong resident of the Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago, passed away September 10, 2021.  Beloved husband of Jeannine, nee Wright; loving father of Amy (Logan) Andersen, Mathew Castro and Elena McHugh; cherished grandfather of Jessie, Jacobi and Madison; devoted son of the late James and Mary McHugh; dear brother of James (Barbara), Daniel (Nancy), Brian, Donald and the late Michael (Kathleen), Martin (Ruthie) and Kathleen Moran Adcock; fond uncle and great uncle of many.

John was a major history buff and enjoyed watching documentaries reflecting history.  He was also very patriotic and kept a collection of different items with flags.  John was also a collector of knives and a big Chicago sports fan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15th, from 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with a Chapel Service at 7:00 P.M. at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home, 544 West 31st St., Chicago, IL. Inurnment Private.
