Louise (Ciamprone) Palumbo

Louise Palumbo, nee Ciamprone, age 80, of Chicago and Downers Grove, passed away April 2, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph A.; loving mother of Jerry (Kristie) and Gina (Peter) Abbeduto and the late Michael; cherished grandmother of Michael, Vincent, Frank, Evangeline and Luciana; dearest sister of Mary “Babe” (Frank) Palumbo and Francis Ciamprone and sister in law of Cathy (Charles) Scheidt; fond aunt of Dominick (Karen) Palumbo, Roseann (James) Pell, Joseph (Kristin) Palumbo, Matthew Scheidt, Stephen (Cindy) Scheidt, Kristin (Matthew) Dailey and great aunt of Gianna, Zachary, Olivia, Luke, Sophia, Ryan, Jackson, Steven, Elizabeth, Sarah and Derek.

Lou had a smile that would light up the room and she was a very warm and welcoming person that never met a stranger.  Every person Lou met became like family.  She was an amazing cook and enjoyed preparing appetizers and desserts for every holiday and event.  She also loved to dance in her younger years.  Lou’s greatest joy was her family.  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Visitation Tuesday, April 11th, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church, 2823 S. Princeton Ave., Chicago.  Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
