Mary T (Tha) Chan

Mary (nee Tha) Chan, age 95 of Bridgeport (Chicago, Illinois), passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024,

where she had been under Hospice care, following a long-term illness. (arising, from a Stroke she had endured.)

Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and is survived by, Her Beloved and ever Devoted Husband William HW Chan,

her three Beloved children: Walter P. (Sylvia Nava) Chan, Melanda (late Paul) Kywe, Henry (Jennifer nee Yung) Chan,

and three lovely granddaughters, Ramona Kywe, Catharina Kywe, and Naomi (Joseph) Lowe, and her Beloved youngest brother St. Paul.

She is preceded in death by, her parents Pastor Maung Tha and Au Pu Lay: one sister Mariam Tha, and three brothers: Joseph Tha, Benjamin Tha and St. John Tha, (all of whom remained and, are buried in Burma.)

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home 544 West 31st Street, Chicago, prayer service at 10:30 A.M.  Interment  Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
