Michael Schiml Obituary

Michael Ira Matthew Schiml (August 15, 1966 - May 27, 2020) passed away peacefully in his Bridgeport home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle.  He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Sevila Yee-Schiml, his three adoring children Michael (20), Madison (18), and Mathew (15).  He is also the devoted son of Deanna L. and the late Michael L. Schiml and dear brother of Lori Shepherd and Lisa (Rick) Shelton.

Mike loved his family, especially watching his kids swim and scuba diving with them.

A private visitation with family will be held at Michael Coletta and Sons in Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barbara Church.  Interment private.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Mother of Calcutta Parish, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Cancer Society.

God saw you were getting tired

and a cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around you

                                and whispered "Come with me."

                                With tearful hearts we watched

                                               you fade away.

                                 Although we loved you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

                               A golden heart stopped beating,

                                  hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

                                          He only takes the best.
