Nicholas Trovato, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on November 27, 1931, to Mary (Millie) and Russell Trovato, Nick grew up in Chicago in the Bridgeport neighborhood, where he cultivated a lifelong passion for the law and public service.
Nick earned his Doctorate of Law from DePaul University and dedicated four decades of his career to the City of Chicago as the Deputy Corporation Counsel, a role in which he made a lasting impact through his dedication, integrity, and legal expertise.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Pinotti, his two cherished daughters, Allison and Michelle (Beth) Gronkowski, grandson Frankie and four furry canines whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Millie) and Russell Trovato, and his sister, Rosemary (Mondo) Zeledon.
Nick will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Natia (the late Joe) DiFazio, his nephew Joe DiFazio, nieces Jennifer DiFazio (Tony), Kathryn Zeledon-Nelson (the late Richard), and Kari Nelson as well as numerous relatives and close friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and humor.
