Peter John Gilbert

Beloved husband of Aimee Jo (nee Brennan); loving son of the late Albert and Winifred Gilbert; dear brother of Pauline Mason, Jean (Edwin) Langdale; Joan (Jose) Massot, and Janet Gilbert; fond uncle and great uncle of many.  Peter was born in Tamworth, England and a mechanical engineer by trade. He was President and owner of Hey Machine Tools, Inc. in Chicago and Coventry, England, working at Hey for 62 years before retiring in 2021.  He was an avid sailor and former member of the Burnham Park Yacht Club, dog lover with a love of music, photography and technology.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls (in Chicago) (www.mercyhome.org) or Doctors Without Borders (www.doctorswithoutborders.org).  Memorial Service Wednesday, January 26th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home 544 W. 31st Street.
