With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rosa Irene Silva Palomo. Rosa lived her life in full color: filled with music, smiles, and family. She leaves behind a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to have known her.
Born on October 20, 1960, to her loving mother, Fidencia Silva Palomo, Rosa grew into a woman whose heart was guided by love and resilience. She was a devoted mother to Alejandro, Jessica, and Daniel, who remained faithfully by her side through life’s most challenging moments. Rosa also held a warm and special place in her heart for her beloved in-laws, Adrianne and Kirsteen. She was “Abolita” to her treasured grandchildren Isabella, Samantha, Maya, and Benicio, each of whom brought light, laughter, and joy into her days. Their stories, hugs, and love filled her heart with immeasurable happiness.
Rosa is also survived by her mother, Fidencia, her adored sister Minerva and her loving brothers: Alberto, Eugenio “Pepe,” Juan, Mario, and the late Miguel. She was a caring and supportive aunt to her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held her with deep affection.
Rosa understood that friendships come in many forms. “Some people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.” Rosa was blessed with lifetime friends who became part of her family, serving as her confidants and a steady source of comfort and support. They filled her life with laughter and joy through life’s challenging times. In return, Rosa left a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who became part of her life.
Rosa held a deep and tender love for her four-legged companions. She shared an especially close and cherished bond with Douglas “Snickers” the III, who appeared in her life at exactly the right time, sat faithfully by her side (and often on her lap), filling her final days with comfort and unconditional love.
Rosa Irene Silva was full of life, defined by her vibrant spirit and a deep devotion to the people and principles she held dear: her beloved family, her friends, and the cherished values of her faith. She faced life's adversities with remarkable courage, touching and inspiring everyone she encountered. Drawing strength from her faith, she found peace and continued to share her joy with those around her, even through the most challenging moments. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and color to those she loved, and her memory will continue to shine for all who knew and cherished her.
In honor of her vibrant spirit, she asked that others do the same. Please celebrate her wishes by wearing your favorite outfit in bright, cheerful colors (no black or gray) as we gather to remember her beautiful life.
Do not worry if you are not able to attend the services. Your love, thoughts, and prayers for Rosa and her family are equally meaningful and deeply appreciated.
