It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Zhenya Oksenkrug, our dearest mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and beloved friend, who left us peacefully in her 100th year on December 14, 2025.
Born in 1926 in Moscow, she lived through terrible ordeals and yet remained kind and compassionate, while also being shrewd, dignified, and deeply respectful of others. Her long and remarkable life touched and enriched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unbounded kindness, quiet strength, and generosity of spirit shone on us all throughout our lives.
Together with her beloved husband, she found a second home in America in 1991, where they built a new life and became true patriots of this land. She belonged to a generation that found the strength to endure hardship without bitterness, to remain devoted to its principles, and to carry grace, integrity, and humanity through even the most difficult times.
We will forever cherish her memory and carry her love with us always.
Visitation will be held at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home 544 W. 31st St. (Chicago) on Tuesday; December 23rd from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Interment Private
