Ann Diaz, nee Majerczyk, beloved wife of 54 years to the late Catarino G.; loving mother of Rosemary (Ralph) Melendez and the late Joan (Tony) Hernandez and Martin; cherished grandma of Tony (Stefanie) Hernandez, Michael Raso and Ryan Melendez; proud great grandmother of Isabella Hernandez; dear sister of the late John, Frank, Barbara, Carol, Andrew, Stanley, Mary and Bruno and sister in law of the late Joe (the late Jane) Diaz, Guadalupe "Lux" (Beatrice) Diaz and Gabriel "Lefty" (the late Clementine) Diaz; dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a great caretaker of others and known for keeping the neighborhood swept clean. She was an excellent cook and perfected many Mexican dishes over the years, especially her enchiladas. Ann was always her husband’s right-hand person, supporting him behind the scenes in the many community organizations that he was very active in.
Visitation Monday, August 17, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home, 544 W. 31st St., Chicago. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
