When our son was KIA in Iraq in 2007, they did everything they could to help us. They even put a tribute up in the coffee room honoring him. We have used them many times after that and their services are the best.
I attended a funeral service for Danny Abate at your funeral home.about two weeks ago. The ceremony was handled with great dignity and professionalism by you Michael and the rest of your staff. Danny was best man at my wedding to my wife Bernadette and also Godfather to my first child Maria. I was Godfather to his first daughter Danette. Danny was my very best friend and one I’ll always fondly remember. Your funeral home is one of great beauty and the services conducted by your establishment are truly outstanding. Michael, you have continued to maintain the incredible reputation of the Michael Coletta and Sons name. Michael, I’m sure your Father and Grandfather are extremely proud of you. The Scalise and Tomasiello families have been patrons of your home for many years. The times spent at 26th and Wentworth, 79th and Kedzie are too numerous to mention. The services you provided were always exceptional. Congratulations on maintaining a supreme display of fine service Sincerely. Tony Scalise.
With a score from 1 to 10, we would rate our experience with Michael Coletta Funeral Home at 22. Mike and Angela treated our loved one, Will, with dignity and respect, by ensuring that his appearance was the way he would have wished it to be. Mike fully answered our questions and suggested many options for possible services and arrangements. When the death certificates arrived too late at the funeral home for us to bring them to the lawyer's appointment, somehow Mike got the certificates to the lawyer while we were meeting with him. I don't know how he did it. Mike truly helped us beyond our expectations during this incredibly difficult time. We are so grateful to him as well as to Angela and Eva.
Losing a loved one is never easy and going through it for the first time can be challenging. Michael Coletta and his team provided us with exceptional support, patiently answering all of our questions and guiding us through the process. We would like to thank Michael Coletta and his team for their help during this very difficult time.
It is a very stressful situation when a family member passes away. With many decisions to make, the easiest was to make arrangements at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home. Several family members had their services at this location and they are so reliable, sincere and professional. This establishment makes sure everything is perfect down to every last detail. Even asking if we wanted to change the temperature of the room, dim the lighting or change the volume of the music. We could not ask for anything better. We will always remember how beautiful everything turned out. The Mangione family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home.
We are grateful for the professional, yet caring and compassionate way Michael Coletta and his team treated us and handled the wake and funeral of our father. It was our first time going through this and we appreciate how they took the time to explain and walk us through every step. We had many questions, and to a person, each took the time to answer all our calls. We know we weren't the only family they were servicing, yet they made us feel like we were, by giving us their undivided attention. Thank you Michael Coletta and team for all you do to help families during their darkest days.
The Coletta family has been burying and servicing members of my family since 1937 continuing through 2019. Michael Coletta's Grandparents buried my grandparents. His Father and uncle buried my parents and in fact, my mother was the last person waked and buried out of the Coletta funeral home at the 79th & Kedzie location. Michael Coletta Jr. has also buried more of my aunt's, uncle's, & cousins. In my family, the first order of business when someone dies is a phone call from a relative asking "Did you call Coletta's yet?" The answer is always yes. So for 82 years now the Colettas have been an important part of our family and friends. They do their job with dignity, compassion, and class. They are as respectful and compassionate as anyone in their business. One day the Colettas will bury me as well and that thought gives me a great sense of comfort. It is with great pleasure that I submit these unsolicited comments.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
